Upgraded to The Villa

The reason it is good to go see these villas ahead of time before you book them is because they usually look better in the pictures. I looked at two and the second one had what looked like mouse droppings on the floor, and the wifi wasn't working, plus there were cows walking around next door... yeah, no.

The villa I booked for later this month is in Sosua, off the main highway and south in a little community across the street from a private school. It is in a gated, brick wall compound with four other villas. There's a local gentleman who lives onsite to handle any maintenance or security issues.

The villa has a very nice pool and AC in two of the three rooms. The kitchen and furniture is on the more modern side. It should be a pretty good stay. That's the hope! This place is going to be $1483 plus electricity for a month. If I don't leave lights and AC on, the electricity will likely be around $150. So really it's a pretty good deal, assuming no major issues.

Tomorrow is my birthday so I invited a bunch of the older guys out to relax at a house in Costambar, which is a gated seaside community with a 9 hole golf course. The brother I am renting the home from is a real cool, peaceful dude. Anyway, this will be a day party due to the curfew, but is still going to be interesting. There will be chicas, and drinking, and whatever else going on. But by 7 most everyone will be gone.

I'll try to take some video of the event and post it up for you!
